Eurovision Services is currently seeking to hire a Forward Planning Manager to join our Global Operations Team in Madrid (Spain).

ABOUT THE ES GLOBAL OPERATIONS TEAM

The ES Global Operations Team is the central point of contact for all customers receiving operational services from Eurovision Services. The team is responsible for delivering high-quality services, achieving ambitious operational objectives, implementing reliable solutions to provide outstanding value and services for our customers while optimising costs to improve our bottom line.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS POSITION

The mission of a Forward Planning Manager is to anticipate, plan, and secure network capacity and resources for seasonal contracts and major events, ensuring all requirements are prepared in advance and smoothly handed over to delivery teams.

The role directly supports business success by ensuring reliable network availability, optimizing resource usage, and enabling the timely and efficient delivery of complex events and long-term contracts, thereby protecting revenue, service quality, and client satisfaction.

As a Forward Planning Manager you will:

· Plan and optimize network capacity and resources for events and long-term contracts.

· Anticipate peak traffic periods and define solutions to manage network load.

· Coordinate with internal teams and external suppliers to define optimal technical and commercial solutions.

· Monitor network occupancy, ensure efficient use of resources, and support network sizing and evolution.

· Act as a key contributor to event solution design and major project setups.

· Ensure clear communication and structured handover to delivery and operations teams.

· Collaborate closely with Pre-sales on technical solutions assessments

· Contribute to the overall well-structured resource management in the operating software tool.

· Collaborate with the engineering team to support the global architecture of Eurovision’s permanent satellite & fibre network

· Provision of long-term estimates of Eurovision’s needs for satellite and fibre bandwidth, based on future strategy, events & contracts.

· Work with other network specialists to define the future Network strategy.

· Implement optimal solutions and design of specific projects such as major events and events under Sports Rights in collaboration with other units.

YOUR KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

· Knowledge of broadcast networks (satellite, fibre, terrestrial).

· Experience in network capacity planning and resource optimization.

· Familiarity with IP technology and networked broadcast workflows

· Understanding of how audio/video signals are transported over IP networks

· knowledge of network protocols

· Understanding of integration between traditional SDI and IP infrastructure

· Understanding of network architecture, sizing, and occupancy monitoring.

· Ability to support solution design and structured handover to delivery teams.

· Clear and structured communication, both technical and non‑technical.

· Ability to anticipate issues and proactively propose solutions.

· Strong planning, prioritization, and organizational skills.

· Collaborative mindset with a focus on reliability and delivery.
